Long-time Sherrill House volunteers Sarah Ann Pollock and Marena Morrison received LeadingAge Massachusetts’ 2011 Volunteer Service Award at the organization’s annual meeting on October 6.  The award was given in recognition of the exceptional work Sarah Ann and Marena do every Wednesday to ensure that “hairdresser day” at Sherrill House is as pleasant and as efficient for our residents as possible.  Working in conjunction with Sherrill House’s hairdresser, Yola Barletta, these dedicated volunteers take great pride and pleasure in the work they do, and their warmth and hospitality make the salon feel like the best kind of neighborhood meeting place.  Sherrill House is truly fortunate to have Sarah Ann and Marena as part of our community, and we congratulate them on their well-deserved honor.
