Sherrill House Celebrates 100 Years of Caring

Celebrating 100 YearsSherrill House, the premier not-for-profit nursing and rehabilitation center in Boston has been celebrating its centennial with a series of professional and community educational events, receptions and celebrations.

Originally founded as Trinity Church Home for the Aged in 1906, in 1970 it was merged with St. Luke’s Home for Convalescents. Then, in 1995 the Frank Wood Home for Convalescents, a facility formerly located in Mattapan joined forces with Sherrill House. And in 2003 – 2004 Sherrill House added a new wing and undertook a complete renovation of the existing building and property.

Today’s Sherrill House is the culmination of more than one hundred years of history. We are proud of our tradition of caring and excellence, and we remain committed to continuously improving our services and programs to best meet the needs of those we serve up.
