Sherrill House CEO Patrick Stapleton Named One of 12 "Up & Comers" in US by Modern Healthcare Magazine

Patrick J. Stapleton, Chief Executive Officer of Sherrill House in Boston, has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of its 2007 Up & Comers.  The national publication’s annual awards program honors exceptional young healthcare professionals who have made significant contributions to their organizations and their fields.  Stapleton was one of 12 awardees selected from a field of 120 candidates from throughout the U.S., and is the first long-term care administrator to receive this distinction. 

Stapleton joined Sherrill House, the premier not-for-profit nursing and rehabilitation center in Boston, in 2003, just as the organization was embarking on a major building project.  He is credited with creating the organization’s successful Return to Homesm program, which provides short-term rehabilitation care to prepare patients to return to their homes following a hospitalization.  And under Stapleton’s leadership, Sherrill House received the prestigious Step I and Step II Quality Awards from the American Healthcare Association/National Center for Assisted Living.
